Application Details
- WHEN:
- Applications open in the middle of August and are due by the middle of September.
- Teams are accepted on a rolling basis. First come, first serve with a priority to previously funded teams.
- WHO:
- Middle Schools, High Schools, and Non-Profits serving those ages are welcome to apply.
- StudentsBuild is open to all middle and high school students, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, color, or other protected statuses. All are encouraged to apply and participate.
- WHAT:
- Applications should be completed by coordinators and students. Components are listed below.
- If selected teams are expected to complete project deliverables within the grant period of September - May. Projects should be completed during the academic school year.
- Project Deliverables:
- Team Website & Instagram
- Impact Report Slide & Outcome Report
- Post / Pre-Surveys for Students & Coordinators
- End of the Year Video (Optional)
Application Components
- List of 6 or more students for team roster
- Coordinator(s): 1 or 2 school staff that are willing to mentor, supervise, and support students
- Written Components:
- Team Mission Statement
- Project Need
- Civic Engagement Component:
- Connection to Pillars: Civic Engagement, Health & Wellness, STEM & Digital Skills, Entrepreneurship
- Team Anticipated Outcomes: Short & Long Term Goals
- Slideshow OR Video Introduction
