Hello GirlsBuild Community, 
 
Our Submittable Form is now open for you as a Reconfirmed and Returning team as well as for Prospective New GirlsBuild teams. 
 
You’ll notice old deadline timetable because we first want to focus on having all new 
teams or former teams first confirm and then we’ll set time frames for the remainder of the paperwork needed as it fits with your own timeline/project development. But historically the timeline is as follows: 
  

1. Once you submit the Submittable, I can follow up with deadlines based on where your team is at but historically it follows as:
2. Contract Agreements will be due asap once we onboard you from the Submittable Form received. (Applications will close out once we’ve reached 65 teams or once we get to October 11th, the day of our GirlsBuild Summit). 
3. *Student Pre-Surveys should be collected from mid-Sept thru October once you have a full team roster (minimum of  6). 
4. *Media Release Forms should also be collected in mid-Sept thru October once you have a full team roster so you don’t have to send these back and forth. 
5. *Budget Sheets and Mid-Year Plans are simultaneously prepared together, and I’ll be checking for them around December/January once all teams have been able to host a team retreat to finalize a project implementation plan for the Spring.
6. Final Projects are due May 7th with our Virtual End-of-the Project Year Celebration on May 18

• If you’re a former coordinator with a whole brand new school, please complete the Submittable as “A New GirlsBuild Team” 
• If you’re a new coordinator with a reconfirmed/already formerly selected GirlsBuild team, please complete the Submittable as a “Reconfirmed GirlsBuild Team”

​It is my pleasure to announce that your team has been reconfirmed to be funded for the 2022-2023 GirlsBuild Project; Year 8 an initiative of LA Promise Fund.
 I’ll be following up in the coming weeks to space out reconfirmation forms from your team like contract agreements for stipend dispersals, updated media release forms, and pre-surveys.  I’m excited to share that with this new year’s timeline, we’ll be able to distribute your team and coordinator grants come October/November.
 If you foresee any issues in working with your principal or district in receiving your funds, let me know so I can help advocate for you.

This year, I want to be mindful of all the responsibilities you all have when you make the time to show up as a GirlsBuild Coordinator.
For that reason, I’m working on

• revamping our GirlsBuild Curriculum Webpage with the resources we’ll be utilizing throughout the year
• adding updated deadlines to our timeline for collection
• creating an online database to submit all of this upcoming year’s forms so they all live in one place and you don’t need to worry about emailing me files or sharing links as much.

If you have any educator friends at nation-wide public middle or high schools that are interested in joining as a GirlsBuild team, send them my way as the application for new times is wide open.
