StudentsBuild National Summit 2026:
"OWN THE FUTURE"
Leadership • Wellness • Civic Engagement
This year's theme is OWN THE FUTURE – a call to action for students to step boldly into leadership, wellness, and civic engagement.
The StudentsBuild Summit recognizes that the future isn’t something to wait for; it’s something to shape, build, and claim today.
Through powerful conversations and community-building experiences, participants will explore how their voices, choices, and actions can spark meaningful change in their schools, neighborhoods, and beyond.

Our Mission
StudentsBuild, formerly GirlsBuild, challenges teams of students from public middle schools, high schools, and youth nonprofits to create a project around an issue they want to address in their community. Team projects are focused on Civic Engagement, Health & Wellness, STEM & Digital Skills, and/or Entrepreneurship. StudentsBuild provides students with a platform to discuss and uplift critical issues.
StudentsBuild teams are made up of middle and high schoolers. Teams are typically hosted at school sites or nonprofits. In order to apply, teams must have at least 6 students. Teams can have as many students as they want, some teams have over 200 members! In addition, teams have one or two coordinators for support.
